Sunwell is coming along nicely,” says Tigole (a.k.a. Jeffery Kaplan). “It will be on the PTR shortly after wow patch 2.3 goes to the live realms. We still need to perfect wow patch 2.3 a bit on the PTR.

There it is.

Most of us suspected that wow patch 2.4 would be the big Sunwell patch, but now it’s official. There’s going to be lots of new instancing coming up once all the big changes in wow patch 2.3 go live. Tigole even adds that “The 5 person wow dungeon is complete and the 25 person wow raid instance is progressing nicely. There’s also a cool “public” area featuring brand new wow daily quests called Sunwell Isle.”

The 5-person wow dungeon plus even more wow daily quests are a bit more to look forward to for those casual gamers who thought all their wow goodies were finished in wow patch 2.3, and that wow patch 2.4 would be almost entirely about the new 25-person raid dungeon. For the more hardcore-inclined among us, this will be the startling conclusion to The Burning Crusade expansion, the last big raid before Wrath of the Lich King! How does it feel? Exciting? Nostalgic? More of the same?

wowgold buyerI was reading the Se7en Samurai blog today and found an interesting post about wow gold sellers. Stormgaard went to a site advertised by one of those delightful spammers in Ironforge and discovered an open letter to their customers describing how they were currently conducting business and why they changed their methods to offer their customers cheap wow gold.

It seems that the changes that Blizzard has made to the mail system has forced the wow gold sellers to change their tactics. They can no longer simply send wow gold through the in-game mail system because of the hour delay and the new “anti-transaction system”. Face to face trades are out of the question for this particular company due to the time difference between their customers and their country.

Everybody now: awwwwwww!

Their new workaround is to have you put up Tough Jerky in the AH if you are Horde and Tough Hunks of Bread if you are Alliance for certain amounts (they provide a chart) using the character name you provided them. This bypasses the in-game mail security Blizzard put in by using the Auction House to conduct the transaction.

I went searching the Auction Houses where I keep my numerous alts to see if I could find any. As you can tell by the above picture, I did — though it took me 5 servers to find one. Surprisingly, (to me) it is an RP server. Though it took a few tries to find this wow gold buyer, I assume that different wow gold companies are using different wow items to do the same thing. I would go looking at other wow gold selling sites but I don’t want to give them the traffic or risk accidentally downloading nastiness.

No matter how many obstacles Blizzard puts in the way of Real Money Transactions, as long as there are customers, the wow gold sellers will find a way to satisfy them with cheap wow gold.

Have you seen any other easily obtained, cheap wow items up for sale on the AH for outrageous prices? How do you feel about spending real money on virtual property that you actually don’t end up owning? Do cheaters really never prosper?

wow gold thiefLaw of the Game postulated that wow gold sellers would be able to act in an effective way to launder money for criminal organizations. I find this idea a bit strange as we do not have to pay real tax in-game wow money and at least in WoW’s case, the wow gold isn’t even really yours, as Blizzard has repeatedly stated that all in game items and assets belong to them. But maybe Symantec is right and real life criminals are using our MMO hobby as a means to not only make money but to clean up money made from other, illicit activities, then eventually something will have to be done to make it less attractive to them. At present, wow gold selling or RMT (real money trading) is a incredibly safe business for people to commit crimes with (as, for an example, stealing your password in order to convert all of your character’s gear to wow gold that can be sold to others) because it’s new territory.

Therefore only use the wow gold sellers we recommend in order not to be a victim of fraud or helping criminals. If you want cheap wow gold or fast wow gold, here you are:

Fast WoW Gold:

The new danger would be that not only is there wow money to be made in the trading of online wow gold and wow items, but there’s even more money to be made in using that trade to conceal yet more money made through already established vices and crimes. Which, to be honest, kind of messes with my head: the idea that someone pretending to be a stealthy rogue or bloodthirsty brute of a warrior could in fact be helping honest to murgatroyd killers, thieves and pushers to conceal how they made their money by buying pretend wow gold with real money.

Did you get your Brewfest ram yet? I have to say, ashamedly, that I haven’t– I moved to a new apartment last week and was without internet long and wasn’t able to start Brewfest right away, and now I fear I’m too far behind to even get started. You need 600 Brewfest tickets to get the ram, and with all the quests (despite the bugs), you are supposed to be able to pick up around 100 tickets a day (30, if you’re good, from the two keg runs you can do every 12 hours, and 40 from the Bark for the brewery quests). Add the tickets from the one-time quests for that, and you’re looking at just under a week of grinding to get the Racing Ram for yourself without earning wow gold.

Unfortunately, Brewfest is shutting down on Tuesday, which means even if I worked like mad until then, odds are I wouldn’t be able to get 600 tickets in time (not to mention I need some training– I just did another keg delivery run, and only picked up a little over 20 tickets) - anyone out there who wants to exchange some tickets for my wow gold? So if, like me, you’re starting late, you’re probably out of luck this year.

However, Aeus has good news– Brewfest (and the ram racing) will be back again next year, and you can save all your tickets until then. Of course, next year, considering the popularity, they’ll probably have even cooler prizes to spend tickets on, but still– if you’re left in the lurch with Brewfest tickets, stick ‘em in your bank and wait until next Brewfest. Hallow’s End is next! Maybe there will be an invasion of wow gold farmers you start farming brewfest tickets…

wow goldMany of the Patch 2.3 changes were pre-announced over the last two weeks by Blizzard. But today when the patch hit the Test server, many additional changes were discovered. And some of them are very interesting and could earn you a lot of wow gold.

A new Expertise Skill has shown up in the notes. Based on the description given the meat of it seems to be that Weapon Skill Rating is out and Expertise Skill Rating is in. Weapon Skill Rating on an item used to decrease your chance to miss, increase your chance to crit and decrease your opponents chance to block, parry or dodge. Now that’s been eliminated in favor of this new stat that simply reduces the chance for your attacks to be parried or dodged.

It looks like you’re losing out, but the effects of Weapon Skill Rating were small (0.04% per point) where as the Expertise Skill rating has more impact (0.25% per point.) How this affects your overall dps I leave to the mathemagicians.

Weapon Skill Ratings on ranged items have not been replaced with Expertise Skill, but with additional +crit and/or +hit. Check individual items for exact changes. Also, some talents haven been altered to accommodate this new skill but what those talents are and how they were changed isn’t clear yet.

Details have finally surfaced about the Guild Bank. We knew there were going to be 6 tabs and some permissions and a tracking function for transactions, but now we know the specifics. The 6 tabs will each contain 98 item slots for a total of 588 slots. Permissions to view, deposit and withdraw wow gold and wow itemsĀ  can be changed for every tab. Also every tab will show the last fifty transactions. So new recruits can’t get cheap wow gold or raid the good stuff.
