wow shopping timeSo now that patch 2.3 is working fine sonce several weeks I felt like it was time to speak about shopping. The new way and art of wow shopping I mean. It’s no longer possible to just spend 1000 $ on WoW Gold in order to buy yourself the hottest gear in the country. Now you have to spend your WoW honor points in order to get the gear.

Why speaking about shopping if there is no use for spending wow gold? Because it is not until today that WoW Arena Season 3 will start officially. Just like in real life seasons the old cloths will be for sale for a quite cheap price

In fact the wow items from Season 1 will become purchasable with Honor and/or Marks of Honor. The old but shiny WoW gear from Season 2 are being taken off the showcases in order to have enough space for the latest Vengeful Gladiator’s fashions, and fancy Vindic accessories. Some players were able to think ahead and have already saved up on the maximum WoW Honor of 75,000 points and the maximum of 5,000 Arena Points in preparation for the new WoW Arena Season 3. Now, I think I have a glimpse of an idea of how my girl friend goes crazy when Zara goes has a new line for the coming season in its showcase. Maybe the Black Friday is another remarkable equivalent of what might happen=)

And you? What will be on your Honor shopping list? What have you already shopped? Will you be buying good looking WoW gear from season 1 or will you spend it on the new Vindicator must haves? Will you rather try to get wow armor or wow weapons? So many choices and not enough time…

I’d like to hear about your decisions in the comments…

wow gold farmerIt’s a variation on the red state/blue state argument, in that it points out that there are actually more World of Warcraft players in the United States today than there are professional farmers. I mean real farmers not wow gold farmers! And so, says the piece, when someone, be they politician or pundit or newscaster, says that “the real America” is rural farmland where people are more likely to be milking cows than running Karazhan, they’re wrong - totally :)

There are a few problems with this argument, of course, one of which is admitted to in the article: farming and World of Warcraft-playing are hardly mutually exclusive. Just because you read blogs and play MMOs doesn’t mean you’re not a person who wakes up in the morning and gets your eggs out from under chickens. The other issue is that if you’re going to start fighting nostalgia, you’re going to lose. Every generation looks at the future (or in this case, the rapidly approaching present) and compares it unfavorably to the past. I’ve always thought it amazing that someday we will have someone in the White House who knows how to get 30 extra lives in Contra, and that person will probably look at the new holo-vid-games that come out in 2016 and say “when we were young, we played with buttons and thumbsticks!”

But back to the issue at hand: it’s true– America is becoming a technological, urban country, and whether you like it or not (politics completely aside, because I know how much you guys like those on this gaming blog), it’s a fact that a person on the street is more likely to know what day Brewfest starts rather than when the summer solstice hits. Sure, we’re not seeing the latest class changes on the evening news, but we are seeing World of Warcraft selling trucks, and whether newscasters and politicians are recognizing it or not, the MMO culture is becoming more and more massive every day.

wow goldMany of the Patch 2.3 changes were pre-announced over the last two weeks by Blizzard. But today when the patch hit the Test server, many additional changes were discovered. And some of them are very interesting and could earn you a lot of wow gold.

A new Expertise Skill has shown up in the notes. Based on the description given the meat of it seems to be that Weapon Skill Rating is out and Expertise Skill Rating is in. Weapon Skill Rating on an item used to decrease your chance to miss, increase your chance to crit and decrease your opponents chance to block, parry or dodge. Now that’s been eliminated in favor of this new stat that simply reduces the chance for your attacks to be parried or dodged.

It looks like you’re losing out, but the effects of Weapon Skill Rating were small (0.04% per point) where as the Expertise Skill rating has more impact (0.25% per point.) How this affects your overall dps I leave to the mathemagicians.

Weapon Skill Ratings on ranged items have not been replaced with Expertise Skill, but with additional +crit and/or +hit. Check individual items for exact changes. Also, some talents haven been altered to accommodate this new skill but what those talents are and how they were changed isn’t clear yet.

Details have finally surfaced about the Guild Bank. We knew there were going to be 6 tabs and some permissions and a tracking function for transactions, but now we know the specifics. The 6 tabs will each contain 98 item slots for a total of 588 slots. Permissions to view, deposit and withdraw wow gold and wow itemsĀ  can be changed for every tab. Also every tab will show the last fifty transactions. So new recruits can’t get cheap wow gold or raid the good stuff.

WOW Gold - WoW BrewfestWhile some Brewfest events are hotfixed, others are stubbornly refusing to work without a full server restart, so take your time to get your cheap WoW Gold. Community Manager Drysc spells it on a late night forum post. The short version, for those whose eyes aren’t up to extensive reading after last night’s festivities, is this:

  • Dark Iron attacks are disabled for now. The large number of people using the /wave emote during the twice hourly event was causing many to crash repeatedly.
  • Blizzard will reinstate the attacks before Brewfest is over as soon if they figure out a way around to the crashing problem..
  • Ticket rewards for other Brewfest activities have been increased to compensate for the lack of Dark Iron generated tickets - wow gold would also be okay for me. The Barking quest reward increases from 15 to 40 and the Keg Delivery quest increases each keg to 3 tickets (and can be done every 12 hours.)
  • Until the Dark Iron attacks are brought back, “Complimentary Brewfest Samplers” acquired by /waving are disabled (confirming the /wave emote/crashing problem)
  • Brewfest Goggles which were implemented with a temporary duration, will be permanent. A duration timer will show until the next patch, but can be ignored.
  • No /wave or emote is necessary to complete the Barker quest. Just be on the Riding Ram and pass close enough to the flags.
  • In a separate thread, it was confirmed that the Pink Elekk’s quest is NOT a daily quest. Some players were able to do it twice due to a one-time reset.

The servers will be getting a rolling restart this morning at 5:00am PST. We’ll have to keep an eye on the forums to see what got fixed and what’s still bugged to not spend your precious time on quests which can not be finished and will not give you cheap wow gold, or at least some wow gold.

General news about patch 2.3:

  • You can now ctrl+click recipes to get a preview of the crafted item in the dressing room.
  • All items of the auction house will be sorted server side, basically it means that when you’ll try to sort a particular item by the amount of WoW Gold you have to spend/WoW Gold Price , it will sort it through all pages, not only the current one.

If you’re getting the non-heroic and the heroic quest on the same day for the same dungeon, you can complete both by running it in heroic mode once. Non heroic quests will reward you with a Ethereum Prison Key (various reputation), WoW gold, and reputation with the Consortium. Heroic quests will give you 2 Badges of Justice, cheap WoW gold, and reputation with the Consortium.
