Blizzard thinks an Auction House in Shattrath will eliminate the only reason for players to interact with others in the older cities of World of Warcraft. Blizzard says players can use the Shatt portals to get to the AH in the older cities. Then they can activate their hearthstone to get back .

This plan spreads out the population of WoW, too. When their was only one AH for each Alliance and Horde, Ironforge was also known as Lagforge. And now just think about the consequences to the framerate, if Blizzard would put an Auction House in the capital of the Outlands. Right, not pretty. So you must manage your trades with your in the older cities, but at least you know why, now!
